The PCC has agreed that we can resume Services in church from 2nd August, in a stripped-down way. There’ll be one Service at 9.30am on Sundays and one at 10.00am on Wednesdays, very similar to each other in their simplicity.
So – if you’re happy to come – welcome back to church! The precautions will be what we’re all getting used to now. Social distancing will be observed; entry one by one; seating will be marked, with a limit to numbers, and departure will be staggered. People will be asked to use hand sanitiser (provided) and face coverings; also both doors will be kept open for ventilation; and we will use single-use service sheets, available from a box so not touched by sidespeople, and people will be asked to sign a ‘Track and Trace’ register. Communion will be in one part only (no chalice), dropped into your hands so please cup them. We are not at present allowed to sing, so no hymns and no choir, though on Sundays we will have organ music and perhaps a recorded anthem. We’ll also hear the bells again, just four, for a short time, but ringing out the call to worship.
