From The Vicar and Churchwardens

It is with great pleasure that we are able to announce the appointment of a Curate to All Saints' Banstead. Her name is Mandy MacVean, and with her husband Paddy she will be moving in to the parish in early summer.

Please keep Mandy in your prayers as she finishes her ordination training and prepares to move to the village.

B5 Holiday Fun Week

B5 Holiday Fun Week 23rd-27th July 2012 - Registration is on Sunday 11th March at the Methodsit Church between 2-4pm. Forms can be downloaded from www.banstead5.org.uk for children and creche,Adult and Teenage helpers. If you are unable to download the forms please spaek to your Church Rep, Jen Sadler.

Evening Service March 4th

The Evening Service on March the 4th will be a Taize Service at 5.00pm. All welcome.

Family Roast Dinner

The Family Roast Dinner takes place on Sunday 4th March at 12.30pm, after the Family Service. Tickets available from Parish Office. £4.00 per ticket/£15.00 for a family of four.

Churchyard

There will be a working party in the churchyard on the first Friday in every month. Everyone is welcome to join in, Next date is March 2nd at 2pm. Please bring your own gardening gloves and tools.

Good Friday 2012

You are welcome to join the Banstead Five Churches Procession of Witness on Good Friday, 6th April starting at 10.00 am from All Saints’ Church. There will be a Service of readings, reflections and prayers at the United Reformed Church starting at 10.15 am for anyone unable to take part in the Procession. The Procession then joins this Service and concludes in the United Reformed Church

United Lent services 2012

During Lent the Banstead Five Churches will be sharing in prayer and worship each Wednesday evening. Services will include reflection on themes from this year’s Lent course, ‘Handing on the Torch: sacred words for a secular world’. Locations are:-

  • 29th February at 8.00 pm - St Ann’s Church, Brighton Road
  • 7th March at 8.00 pm - United Reformed Church, Woodmansterne Lane
  • 14th March at 8.00 pm - All Saints’ Church, High Street
  • 21st March at 8.00 pm - St Paul’s Church, Warren Road
  • 28th March at 8.00 pm - Methodist Church, The Drive

Church Car Park

IMPORTANT REMINDER. The church car park is to be used for church business only. If you find the gate closed, please ensure you close it behind you. Also note that it will be locked from time to time! Thank you.

B5 Lent House Groups

B5 Lent House Groups begin on 27th February for 5 weeks 'Handing on the Torch' (more information in Parish magazine). Please add your name to the list on table in Church by 5th February. These are friendly, unpressured groups wher you can meet new friends and explore our faith together. More information on the «B5 website»

Bell Ringing

Bell Ringing - please read the article in "The Wey". Could this be for you? Our bells are newly refurbished and we would welcome new faces to join us. please speak to one of us on Sunday or come to our practice night on Wednesday to learn more about bell ringing.

Pilgrimage to Walsingham

Pilgrimage to Walsingham - Apologies but this has been postponed until May 2013.

Lifts to church

We desperately need more cars/drivers on a regular basis. If you can help please contact Jean Fox. Also, if at all possible, please could you not park in the church car park for the 9.30am service, particularly in the Vicar's and disabled bays as these are needed for visiting clergy and lifts. Thank you.
