Father David Chance
Fr. David Chance

The Vicar is Father David Chance, The Vicarage, 21 Court Road, Banstead, Surrey, SM7 2NQ. Tel. 01737 351134.

He tries to be at the Vicarage for calls daily from 5.00pm to 6.00pm and has a Surgery every Sunday afternoon, 5.00pm to 6.00pm. His day off is Saturday.

David, wife Andrea and three daughters came to Banstead in 1993 after serving as Team Rector in North Devon. He served two curacies, one in Plymouth, the other in Croydon. David was deaconed in 1970 and priested in 1971, both by Archbishop Michael Ramsey. He read History and Biblical Studies at Lampeter, gaining a General Degree with Honours, and trained for the priesthood at St.Stephens House, Oxford.

David and Andrea also run courses and Christian Celtic Holy-Days on a regular basis in beautiful parts of the country. They combine their visits with their passion for art. For more information see their website Rest and Be Thankful for courses and a flavour of their artwork.

The Curate is the Rev'd Pat Westbrook, 14 Glenfield Road, Banstead, Surrey, SM7 2DG. Tel. 01737 353938

Pat studied for a Certificate in Education at Bristol University. She trained at Canterbury School of Ministry to be ordained Deaconess 1984, Deacon 1987 and Priest 1994. She has served in the Diocese of Rochester as Assistant Director of Education 1976-1986, and in 6 parishes in that Diocese lastly as Vicar of Joydens Wood 1999-2005.

Hospital and Hospice Chaplain, 1990-1994. Mayor’s Chaplain, 1993. Diocesan Chaplain to M.U. 2001-2005. Spiritual Director from 1991. In Peterborough Diocese, she was a minister in an Ecumenical Team in the Corby Deanery between 1984 and 1990.
